Local sustainable development fund
Avannaata Kommunia has set up a pool to support sustainable efforts that contribute to the UN Goals for Sustainable Development.
Avannaata wants to involve and engage the local community in connection with the municipality's new vision: 'Together for sustainable development'. The pool can be applied to citizens, associations, educational institutions, socio-economic enterprises. The support must go to projects, initiatives and activities that have a non-profit purpose. To gain support, the project must contribute to meeting one or more of the UN Goals.
“We look forward to receiving applications from the entire municipality and are very excited to see people's ideas. The UN Goals deal both with the environmental area, such as green energy, recycling and sustainable management of local foods, but also with the social area, such as education, gender equality and health. It is therefore possible to apply for support for many different projects that strengthen the local communities and our nature and environment”, says project manager in the sustainability office Maria Blichfeldt Petersen.
